Noah's been smiling for a while now, but until today we've had no visual evidence. He was quite smiley this morning, so we were able to get it on camera. He's having a pretty active morning. He's making lots of baby noises and squirming around like a little worm. He seems like he really wants to roll over, but isn't quite there yet. He is moving a lot when he sleeps, though. We lay him in his crib how you would expect a baby to be laid in the crib--head pointing toward the top and feet toward the bottom. But sometimes when we go to feed him in the middle of the night he is perpendicular to how we laid him in the crib--with head and feel pointing towards both sides of the crib (and he's so long he barely fits!)

We got professional pictures taken a couple days ago. Here's a sampling. He looks so grown up! I (david) didn't go because I had so much homework to do, but I'm glad I didn't. It took 4 hours because there was only one person working at the photo place. Rebekah said that he did a great job staying awake the whole time (except for a couple of cat naps). We didn't get any pictures of his newly-formed smile, but he did smile right before the first picture and right after the last one--the little stinker...

Just an update

Hello Everyone! We are all doing well here. I (rebekah) am enjoying her new job and everyone that she works with. David has started a new semester and thinks it is going to be lots of fun. Noah is growing and growing! He is about 11 lbs. now and a happy baby. We still look at each other and are amazed that we have such an adorable little one. Noah has a babysitter on Tuesday and Thursdays, her name is Leah and she is a TCU student as well. She started this last Thursday and everything seemed to be good. Noah has been enjoying time on his tummy when he is awake, he also seems to be getting stronger and stronger. It is amazing how long he can hold his head up. Well, we need to take new pictures, we will have to add those later. We noticed today that we haven't been taking as many.....weird huh?

Mom has to go back to work tomorrow and we're none too happy about it. Actually, it won't be too bad. Rebekah is looking forward to starting her new job, but it will be an adjustment for all of us. She doesn't want to leave her two handsome men at home, but she knows that Molly will be here looking after us. Rebekah will be starting a job in Dallas, so she'll be commuting an hour both ways which will add some extra stress, but we're actually asking our landlord what we have to do to get out of our lease and thinking about moving to Dallas. David knows some people from his grad. program that live in Dallas, so we've been told where all the cool kids live and we've found some good options online. We're going to look at some of them this Sunday. Pray for something good!

We've gotten to the point where baths aren't horrible as long as we're awake. The best part of the bath is the hair afterwards. Check out the rockstar loook. I think he could start a punk band called something like Baby Bath Hair with a hit song called "Baby Thrown Out With the Bath Water" or something.
He's got such bright eyes. They stare right through whatever it is that he's looking at. Rebekah keeps saying his eyes look like mine. I hope so. That means that my eyes are beautiful, and I like the sound of that.
